Michael Provence is an Associate Professor, Department of History, University of California, San Diego. He earned his Ph.D. in Modern Middle Eastern History from the University of Chicago and has been a three-time Fulbright Scholar in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and France. He is the author of the book “The Great Syrian Revolt”. He has also given programs on the topic of The Fall of the Ottoman Empire.
