Robert Frimtzis (author of From Tajikistan to the Moon) was born in Bessarabia (now Moldova) and escaped to Tajikistan. Upon moving to America, he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in electrical engineering without finishing high school. Mr. Frimtzis contributed to the success of several satellites and also founded a software engineering company.
