Farouk AL-Nasser, Ph.D. was born in Baquba, Iraq. He is a graduate of Baghdad University and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Denver. Dr. AL-Nasser is the President of the San Diego World Affairs Council. At the CEC he has instructed courses such as the Iraq Update, Shaping the Middle East after WWI, Shia Ismlam and Iraq/Iran, USA Restore its Standing?, Iraq Story, Middle East Issues, Iran’s Influence on Iraq and Politics of Oil.
